The Frowning Rain Gods

with 2 comments

It is a bit surprising that there have been showers in various cities over the past few days. Mid-May doesn’t exactly qualify as monsoon; and although small showers are not that unusual, what i find weird is the location.

For the past 5-6 days it has been compulsorily raining only at IPL venues , irrespective of how far they are from each other. Bangalore, Mohali, you name it.

(with the temperature in Pune, how I wish it had rained here…)

Looks like Lord Indra isn’t a big fan of the tournament…..

Hitting the Spot(G-wala)

Is it just me , or does anyone else thinks too that the VODAFONE guy and gal(the animated ones) at the bottom of the screen during the IPL matches make the Meg Ryan in “Harry Met Sally” noises before climbing up a wall???

My English Breakfast

leave a comment »

This sunday I had the most fun outing in the morning.

First I went to take give moral support to my venerable friends, who thought running would get them girls!!(This is specially disturbing in case of Aniket and Kapeesh)

Anywho…..I did my job and came back home. We had planned to go for a English(?) breakfast at Prem’s(Not run by Salman Khan..). I thought it would take these guys(read Abhishek) a long time to complete the whole thing and get ready for the outing .

I was in for a surprise……Apparently the jog was too small and they finished it too early(One hr from the start to my home!).

After landing up at my place I got to know that Nagraj had tried calling Prem’s to ensure that they served an ENGLISH BREAKFAST and not the usual stuff…Due to an unexplained mix-up he ended up calling a roadside tapri. Which was sure that it didn’t serve an English breakfast…though he did say that they served good “Upit”.

Then we got to Prem’s….The place was as sedate as a English Cricket team.

The service was decent. We had Chicken Cutlet’s , Omlets and Sandwiches. The food was brilliant….Though the Englishness of it was not something I really noticed(?).

All in all a nice outing.

PS_ I would recommend this place for dates, as it would look nice at night and was not really crowded..
